Blessed...

HI,
I'm new to the site and just wanted to share a little about myself. First, I was married twice (both of my husbands were White), and unfortunately my husbands were military and that is where they lost their lives. It has been a while ago and I have moved beyond it. It has taken me 9 years to decide to get back into the dating scene. That was a personal choice and not because of a lack of opportunity.

I have always considered myself to be blessed when it comes to the situations in my life. I realize that everything happens for a reason. I take my time when making friends and that has caused a strong bond between me and the few friends I have. Now it's time for me to reach out and get back into the dating and meeting new people.

I'm very secure about who I am and I'm an expert on my Native American culture. I attend our tribal meetings and I am active as a Medicine Woman through our tradition, though it is a ceremonial title. My mom and grandmom were both medicine women.

My father was from New Delhi and was very strict when it came to my education. So I'm definitely well educated and refined. I speak several languages though not all of them fluently. I love to write poetry, song lyrics and short stories. I have always been used to the finer things in life but, I surround myself with people who are more down-to-earth as opposed to snobs.

Someone asked about my dating preferences which are White, Indian or Native American men only. Honestly, it is because those are the men I'm used to being around and found I had the most in common with. They are who I'm attracted to and most of the time we speak the same language. I don't know slang languages or listen to rap music. I do listen to golden oldies R&B because I heard it when I was younger. But, I mostly listen to rock, country, big band or classical.

I just wanted to introduce myself and give a people a little insight into my culture. Maybe I will make a few friends if nothing else. Friends are always welcome. I hope you have a great day.
