sentimental

It was already late but my eldest and i were still watching cartoon network. The house was already silent, my parents were asleep and because we sleep in the living room, we had the liberty to watch television. I was looking at my kids, and cried. Jules turned to look at me and had this innocent, puzzled look in his face, he asked me why i was crying, while he was hugging and rubbing my back as if it would make me stop crying just like the way i would comfort them. Without him understanding why i cried, he kept telling me "it's okay momma, it's okay."

I thought to experience unconditional love could only be felt when or if you have a life time partner, someone who can be a friend and a lover at the same time. But i was wrong, from my kids, I felt genuine and unconditional love, no matter how mad i am with them for several things, they still respect me, and would hug me or say sorry if they knew they did something bad, but most of all, when both would kiss me on the cheek and say i love you mama.
