“THE CAPACITY OF DREAMS”
The capacity of dreams, such a beautiful thing,
For your life to unfold, like the lilies of spring.
Awakening realities of the subconscious mind,
In the mist of the struggle, your life you will find.
As I contemplate the day about to unfold,
Thoughts of you comfort me, and I’ll stand ever so bold.
With the many tasks and functions that encompass my day,
I will be up for the challenge, pressing on in a Mighty way.
Like the petals of the rose, that adorns its stem,
My focus is Unshakable, holding firm on the limb.
And when adversity threatens to alter my plan,
I shall be relentless to the assignment and tasks at hand.
With my purpose in mind, I probe into the Capacity of my dreams,
An Overshadowing Peace I sense.
A Timeless gesture, that is truly Supreme.
As you stand in life, at your Very Best,
Grasping hold of the dream, and passing the test.
The Dreams that you had at the very start,
Were aroused in your life… And implanted by God.

“A Measure”
A measure is the dosage you are blessed with today,
To offer you a lamp in the darkness of Dismay.
The degree to which it is given, is suitable for the task,
The measure will appear as simple and
second nature as a matter of fact.
A measure of Love is often given
with fervor and intensity to open a door,
into the essence of a person’s soul
Not just the outer shell,
but deep within the core,
A measure of what makes this person
share my world, and not just exist,
Can be the resulting effect from the first heart felt kiss.
Two souls infinite in their being coming together
To partake of the Divine…
Is a mystery in itself…and something right out of time.©2010 Poet; Judson E. Lyons
“SOUL MATE”
Suddenly, I sense a pain of gripping proportions, I instinctively
Reach for my heart only to discover a void, (in a midst); Gone
Was the life once there, this struck grief and panic within me, and
I sought for the reason: Why? Where could I have lost my soul?
Could it be through one event, or several? Oh! Where can I
Discover the way? Could it be I was too caught up in life’s adversities?;
Or maybe, I was not aware, of the simple beauties of Life:
Where, I agonize, could I have lost my soul? When I
Look deep within the well springs of my being, I stop
To pause and consider;
Had I watered the essence of my lily, with tender
Care and devotion?;
Had I been more thoughtful of the nurture and
care, of my essence of desire?Oh!! Agony encompasses me from deep within. A portion of
The goodness I once enjoyed! ...Gone!!From the void of despair I sense a timeless gesture…
Moments of sensations once there are embedded in my Heart forever:
Can I, must I…go on?Maybe I was not aware, of the simple beauties of Life:©1997 Poet: J, Evander Lyons
“The Soul of My Day”
Whispering gently like the softness
Of the seashore’s calm erotic breeze,
A voice of stability and strength
Erases all doubt and tensions,
To successfully relieve.
Whenever I need a lift to lighten
The load that I feel in some way,
I can always seek relief and reassurance from
The Soul of my Day
The Soul of My Day intensifies!
Sometimes the storms of discontent and confusion blow my way…
and the path of illumination is obscure,
Wandering in a maze of (possible solutions),
I am careful to place my steps with tenacity
At best attempts to be sure.
From the unbeknownst regions of time and space
a thought of profound measures, comes my way…
When I am at peace with myself..
I am in the Soul of my Day!!
Inside I am at peace as
we connect as one,
Our hearts beating the same rhythm,
Passions flowing with intensity…
As the Soul of my day
Pauses for just a moment…
To take in the Beauty of the occasion;
She realizes her will is no longer her own
at this moment in time as she succumbs
To the tide of ultimate satisfaction!!!
