The Nagual had been lost for millions of years, or maybe a second or two in this place.
The light here seemed to be getting brighter, but brighter than what, brighter than when, another wave of euphoria hit him, he wanted to dive below that dark surface so badly, so he started to fill his lungs with breath to do so, just as his lungs half filled with air he felt something constricting his waist, he felt there to see what is was, afraid some dark tentacle now entangled him, he was wearing something, swimming trunks, where had they come from? "DAPHNE"! It was not a whisper now, and there was this strange tumultuous sound at a distance that he felt he had to go to no matter the cost.
He had no idea, what a man was, what a woman was, what a Daphne was, what a promise was, but he knew one thing, what ever these were, he wanted to return to that dream.
His hand shot out of the water, and grabbed something invisible out of the air above him, without his volition, reflex, he felt something in his grasp, fighting to get free, so he dragged it into the water and below the surface, in shock as what ever it was disturbing the surface as it penetrated it, proving it had mass, and was not imaginary. And as so as it was done, he was sure, it never happened, it was all imaginary.
He felt better, "Daphne" he whispered.
As the strongest euphoric wave he had felt hit him, and he forgot, what he never knew he knew....
The light was fading now, if it had ever been brighter.
As the next wave of fear hit, he became aware of what he had done, what ever invisible thing he had grabbed out of the air and forced below this dark surface, had acted like chum, the waters were excited, hungry, titillated, and being he was the only thing here now, he could not understand why it waited, was it tenderizing him, enjoying his fight, like a angler with a largemouth on his line, playing him, never enough line to break free, just enough to keep you fighting until the end.
"Rest", his mind said. Wait for the right time.
