Respect of one's resources, Air conditioning...

by WildnightRcalling,Mar/07/2025

The part of the world I live in has two seasons, not as hot and very hot, that's it.
In February (northern hemisphere winter's coldest), it sometimes get down to 40 F at night, this year, the lowest has been 42 F.
"Snow birds flock here, for the two or three tolerable months, then fly home, when by March temp's start reaching 90-100 F).

You can imagine weeks, months of 115 to 118 cost you more than your mortgage in cooling energy costs.

Not mine though, the few people I allow to visit my home are in shock at how my home is up to 30 degrees cooler with no air conditioning, or other energy costs. I try to explain how this works, they stop listening at the first scientific words out of my mouth...

"I'm interested in saving lots of money, unless I have to learn something". Is a common theme.

They never even allow me to explain that though the scientific words and principles seem hard to comprehend, the actual process can be easily done by any ten year old.

It's simple, I use a highly reflective white paint converted in a coating that converts heat energy into a form of UV that does not interact with the earths atmosphere, so that heat goes into space very easy and faster than other forms of energy.
Now I run a forge, and do metal casting also, massive heating, in these high local temperatures, and I don't get hot...

It takes about 27 minutes for me to show you how to make all the high tech coatings, paints I use, they are very very very cheap compared to one months energy costs. But not a single person but myself has this tech in my area.
A few companies offer heat resistant coatings for very large amounts of cash, that are not as good as my own. My solar panels put out a average of 40% more power, because I use very simple methods to increase their output.

My average energy usage is $40-48 a month, unheard of here.
The average for most people is estimated at $234 a month if they are frugal.....

My whole life is like that, I pay 10% of what other's pay for 300% better/efficient outcome, so I always have more $$$$...

It's a hard life? That's not how I choose it to be, hard...
