On the first date usually I like to meet at a coffee shop or some type of public place like a bookstore or park it would depend upon the mood.That way you find out exactly where it will go from there with out getting to personal,if we are both feeling the heat then we will sit down and talk a little,if it is still going good after that then we will go for a walk & talk some more.The rest of the day or night is up to you.
