More about me:

I'm a pretty simple girl. I enjoy the simple things in life; I love to laugh and have a good time. I am looking to find someone that can find the good in everything. Many times, life doesn't hand you what you ordered, it's kinda like McDonald's in that way! You may have had your heart set on some chicken nuggets, but got a quarter pounder instead - just eat it and be happy you're not starving. I want to meet someone who can take what you get and make the best of it.

It's been a long road for me, but I've learned to take the good with the bad. If you keep your eyes open, you'd be surprised to see that there is a lot of good out there - you just have to pay attention. I always try to look on the positive - sometimes it can be hard, or take a little while - but remember the bad and the hard times - they are what makes it real. You can't forget them and learn from it at the same time.

If you're still reading this, I'd give you a high-five. Keep going!! You're almost done!

I'm looking for someone to laugh with; someone to see life like I do - on the bright side. I'm looking for someone that's adventurous and not afraid to take a chance.

I have a son, 10, who is my life. I love watching him grow and discover life for himself - the beauty of it and the hardships that come with it. I love to kiss him goodnight every night and sing our favorite songs together. He is my life.

I am probably a bit surprising: I listen to Rover's Morning Glory on WMMS in the morning and switch over to NPR at 11. You might catch me listening to Dispatch, Willie Nelson or Vivaldi at full blast. I might get into a heated debate over the message of a movie, the meaning of a word, the Big Bang Theory, or which is better: sausage or pepperoni pizza. If you have a problem with someone telling you what way to take when driving to get to our destination the quickest, you should probably just move on.

(did I mention that I'm a writer...? :)

I am not a typical girl - I don't mind spiders or bugs. I like to camp, and I know how to use power tools. I've been on my own for awhile and have learned to depend on myself. I like to hike (really I just wander around in the woods and look at things and think), work in my yard, or just sit on my front porch and play my guitar waiting for the stars to come out.

I'm looking to share my life with someone, whether it's love at first site or a mutual and long-lasting friendship. I'd like this person to challenge me to try new things and be a better me. I hope that this person can dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening, and love like you've never been hurt.

For fun: Music, esp. concerts. Playing my guitar. Outdoors: hiking, camping, picnicking, playing catch, etc. Curling up on the couch after a long day under a blanket with a good book or movie. Cooking: sharing with the people that I care about. It's an art you get to eat

My job: Office Manager for international landscape tool manufacturing company. I'm busy as hell all day long, but the second I walk out of the door, I breathe a sigh of relief and leave it for the next day.

My ethnicity: Part Italian, French and Hungarian.

My religion: Agnostic. I acknowledge that there is most likely a higher power, just not sure exactly what that is. Although I was raised Catholic, school and all, I believe it's important for everyone to find their own spiritual identity. It needs to be something YOU believe, not what was spoon-fed to you. I read a lot and like to learn as much as I can. If you go to church every Sunday, read the bible as non-fiction, or cringe when someone says "Godd*mn it", you should probably just move along. We won't get along.

My education: The University of Akron; Bachelors' in Business & Organizational Communications and English

Favorite hot spots: Cozy coffee shop kinda girl. Not into loud crazy bars, unless there's a band I really want to see. Love good Italian and sushi. If I could go anywhere, Maui: ya ever go somewhere you felt a connection to? Know you belonged? Paia, Maui was it for me

Favorite things: Laughing; outside; music; being outside with music; pretending I know how to sing; playing my guitar; John Butler Trio; DMB; Dispatch; The Dead; Phish; Amos Lee; Jackie Greene; The Civil Wars; Mike Perkins; Keller Williams; Xavier Rudd; Vivaldi; candles; a good book; hiking; exploring; the stars; my brothers; my son;camping; Lowes; board games

Last read: Earth's Children series by Jean Auel. Wonderful series taking you back to prehistoric times. Eyeopening. The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. The Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. Reminding me the journey is what brings us happiness; not the destination. I take my Kindle with me everywhere.
