More about me:

Right now I’m a full time graduate student. I love doing research and I hope to eventually become a research professor at a college. I guess I am kind of a nerd because I really enjoy learning and playing with science. Aside from my research and school work I’m a bit of a geek. I play a lot of video games, yes, I do play WoW. I also have an Xbox and a Wii and occasional poke at my DS. The geekiness doesn’t really end there, though! I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m a fanactic, but I am a big sci-fi and fantasy fan for books and movies. Okay, maybe I’m just the tiniest bit of a Harry Potter fan girl, but hey, at least it’s not Twlight!

Other than being geeky and nerdy I do enjoy writing and making things. I do beadwork and I’ve even started to make candles (it’s a work in progress, I’ll have to let you know how it goes). I also loooove to cook. My current retirement plan (should the zombie apocalypse or other craziness not happen first) is to open my own restaurant.

I’m a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl and pretty rough and tumble. I love animals and if I had it my way I’d have a house full of them. Right now I just have my little gerbil and my roommate’s crazy cat and a dog back home with my parents. I do hope to own a horse or two eventually and I love horseback riding. Aside from that I’m not extremely outdoorsy. Nature and I don’t particularly get along as I’m allergic to Spring and Fall, yep, the entire season and turn into a lobster in 30 minutes of direct sunlight.

About my ideal partner:

The type of guy I’m looking for is someone that’s open to trying the occasional new thing but also doesn’t mind chilling in front of the TV with a good movie or video game. I’m looking for someone that is on my level maturity, intellectually, and life-wise.
