Some people say that I'm fun to be with (some of the time) and some people say I'm eccentric (most of the time). I'm a romantic type of guy who is recently separated. I have a surreal sense of humour with a very dark streak. I have always wanted children but have not been blessed with any which is a source of great regret for me. I am a loyal person who has only ever had one relationship in my life which was my wife and, although this may seem a bit old fashioned, I was a virgin when I married so I have only ever had one lover (like I said, I'm a romantic).

I spend my days doing voluntary work and the rest of the time I write poetry and articles for my blog column on Your Thurrock, a local news website. I also study various subjects such as psychology, politics, philosophy, cosmology, criminology and so on.

I'm a true individual in every sense of the word and stand out from the crowd although I prefer to stay in the background whenever possible.

I'm looking for someone who is passionate, loyal, with a good sense of humour and who is also patient, understanding and kind. I don't really care about your sexuality or race and, while I would prefer someone around my own age, I'm happy to consider people of any age if they are interesting enough.

I'm looking for friendship, a bit of a laugh and possibly a relationship with the right person.
