I'm slow-witted. I have a wit, but it takes time. Give me half an hour and a funny retort will come to mind.

I like long walks along the beach. Have you noticed how many people say that on their profile? Evidently the planet is covered with these long beaches covered with walkers.

I'm childless and prefer the same. Or those with an empty nest. I have regrets about not having children and wanted them very badly but it wasn't in the cards.

I have tattoos. Two are cute, two are not. One is a smiley face, another is the Ralph Lauren Polo logo. One is of the little baby devil from the Black Sabbath Born Again album. This was a deal breaker once, so I thought in the interests of full disclosure...

Don't watch sports. Hate football, baseball and basketball equally. They are all fun to play but suck to watch. I would rather go fishing.

Oh, and more disclosure. I am a conservative atheist. My politics are primarily conservative, I identify more with conservative folks, but still atheist. And I'm a tolerant atheist. Never have believed in ragging on other's beliefs, this is supposed to be a free country. I grew up in the Church but it just wasn't for me. I still retain the basic values; just because you don't believe in God you don't get a license to be an a.s. So, recently I saw a profile that referred to our religious brethren as "Bible humpers". Was that necessary? Do we really need the animosity? This obvious hatred is coming from someone that throws rocks at Klansmen marching down the street. It is okay for that person to hate someone with different beliefs but not some guy wearing a goofy hood?

I hate dancing. I suck at it and have not improved over 44 years. Nor do I have a desire to get better at it. My genetic makeup is missing the alleles that code for dancing. I'm certain of it. I don't mind going out, just ain't gonna dance. I like quiet nights at home with a movie or two. :)

Prefer cats over dogs. Have had both but cats are better buddies. Can't wear dress shoes and feel like a man, so Tony Llamas it is. My vehicles are all well-used. Not only because I'm poor, but I like to wrench on my own vehicles and hate car payments. And there is a certain satisfaction to major repairs done well. Just changed the transmission in my Pathfinder and had very few extra parts left over.

Despite the "manly" appearance, PDA's abound and not afraid to show affection but still too manly for dress shoes. Hate slacks too. My boots and Levis look great with a jacket and tie.

Love to further my education. Still short of a degree but have a very well rounded education. :) I have what I have come to call, Academic Attention Deficit Disorder.

Some days I act my age, but those are few. :) Other days I can be twelve again!

I love women. They are the most awesome inhabitants of our planet. Being conservative does not mean that I want a patriarchal relationship. I want a lady as a partner, walking beside me. Women aren't property or subjects.

Looking for a lady that isn't afraid of intimacy. Or has any hang ups. Not saying I'm a freak, but I seriously miss a close physical relationship with someone I care deeply for. I had a relationship once that became platonic and it was hell.
Can't be pigeonholed into any category. Plenty of people see what they want to see and later find out I'm not even close to who they thought I was. Not a very conventional guy.
