More about me:

I like laughing, it's one of my favourite things. I've even been told I laugh too much, or too loudly, but that's what you get. I don't spend a lot of time around people, especially not in crowds, but I enjoy going out when I can. I'm not a clubbing person, I prefer smaller groups of friends or one-on-one for a good chat and a drink, coffee or meal. And yes, I am a vegetarian, but don't hold it against me. I'm quite comfortable being friends with someone who eats meat and don't mind cooking it at all.

I'm a historian and literary type, I adore reading and writing, learning and teaching. I love listening to and playing music, and I enjoy most genres. I love films, and if you can quote from any of my favourite movies you'll have a friend for life :D

I love animals, and have had many pets over my lifetime. I currently live in a house with several cats, and couldn't imagine living in a house void of at least one animal (even if it's just a fish tank). I love walking, especially in beautiful surroundings. I would love to travel, but haven't had the opportunity to do so yet.

Although I have a face that doesn't show much emotion (No, I'm not upset; that's just my face lol), I'm a friendly enough person once you get to know me. I accept most people as they are, and expect the same back. I won't be friends with bigots, racists, or anyone who judges another person before they know them.

Once I'm comfortable with someone I tend to talk a lot, and to go off on a tangent when asked a question (or just in general really). I'm highly opinionated, but will listen to and respect yours... I do tend to tell people how it is. I rarely sugar coat things, and I do speak my mind - if you want a quiet mouse I'm not it.
