Why do so many people say in their profiles that they are "fun loving". Seriously, doesn't everyone like to have fun? As an oxygen-breathing bipedal hominid, I'm much more unique than the others.

Writing an online dating profile ranks among the great challenges in life. In 2000 characters or less (many already wasted) I'm supposed to convince you that I have no serious communicable diseases, relatively few illegitimate children and that most of my nourishment is not derived from cat food. Yikes. And despite my best efforts, you'll probably just look at the picture. I'm in trouble!

At the risk of you thinking that I can’t be serious, here’s an attempt:
I live by the simple philosophy that you create the life you want, accomplished through passion and focus. Music, traveling, and outdoor activity inspire me. After many years caught in the rat race, I figured out that material 'stuff' contributes little to quality of life. If anything, it's counter productive.

I enjoy harassing telemarketers. I’m the first person at a party to get naked and belly flop off the roof into the pool. I believe Darwin was on to something and religion missed the boat.

Right now, I'd rather be on a camping trip - playing music - or both, than writing this profile.
