At this point, I'm pretty confident in what I want and want to give. My point for being on this site isn't to go on a parade of dates. Sure, the process can invite that kind of experience, but that's not really the mode I'm in at this point in my life. I work for myself (out of my house), so I don't have the same opportunities to meet someone as those that are out and about more often. I would really like a situation where I find myself with a great companion...someone who wants to offer up at least as much as they receive, as that's how I aim to conduct myself. Whether it's casual or serious, I've found that the mutual elements of respect and empathy have to be in place for me to be truly engaged.

Above all else, a good heart, sense of humor and solid intellect are what grab my attention the most. Of course, just like everyone else, I'd like to be attracted to the lady I'm interested in. However, aesthetic importance stops there...I just need to be attracted. A lady becomes more or less attractive to me based upon who they are...their warmth, sense of humor and expanse of their intellect. I'm not looking for "arm candy". Balance and a real mental and physical connection are key. I can't emphasize how important the "friendship" component is. Among the other qualities, I must be your friend as much as anything else.
