More about me:
Many people say that I have a very quirky personality and a sense of humor to match. At times, it can get me into trouble with certain types of people. I'm looking for someone who isn't one of those people. If you aren't one, you already know it and you will almost certainly make me laugh. If you are one of those people, you know it and I'm sorry.
More importantly, I need someone who can identify with the duality I seem to fall into. There are days when I can just sit around the house in sweatpants, not a care in the world, and entertain myself in the most ridiculous ways imaginable. On the flip side, there are times when I want to get out there and make myself seen or have a deep, meaningful conversation with a complete stranger. I crave someone who can fit that bill. But, I guess it's sort of impossible to have one without the other, right? Too much of either one is kind of a downer.
Important (to me, anyway):
Living in the past is cliche. I'm more interested in putting my best foot forward and creating lasting memories with people that I care about.
Honesty is something that I admire more than any other trait that a human being can possess. I strive, every single day, to be as transparent as possible. Liars, especially those of the pathological persuasion, really upset me. If I do my best to be an open book with someone, I would greatly appreciate the same courtesy and respect.
People say that I'm pretentious. They look at the things that enjoy and immediately make judgments about who they think I am. I like hyper-literate prog-rock, Pitchfork.com, obscure French movies, and crazy dance music; that's just who I am. It's never safe to assume anything about me. And, honestly, I'm a pretty down to earth person (I know it's vague. Sorry.), I just happen to be into the whole "indie/avant-garde/weird" stuff.
On a similar note/another important thing (again, to me):
Shared interests are always a plus.
