I'm the kind of guy who is fairly strong and independent, but is happier having someone with whom I can share the things in life that I enjoy. I like going out sometimes, but I also like cooking a nice dinner and sitting on the couch some nights. My biggest interests are music, cooking, dining out, traveling, bowling, watching sports and other TV, and playing poker. My favorite vacation is Vegas, but I also enjoy the Caribbean. People often say opposites attract, but I've found that it's better to have some common interests. Common interests tend to make conversation more lively. If you're the kind of girl who would prefer to sleep late and make breakfast for each other on Sunday morning rather than go to church, there's a decent chance we would get along. I'm getting to the point in life where I realize that if I'm ever going to have the family I desire, it's time to get serious.

What I'm really looking for in the short term is for someone to care about and go places with me, i.e. dinners, weekends away, vacations, etc. And I'm hoping that something like that can turn into something greater in the long term.
